[backcolor= transparent]得獎人科技組現任秘書高亞眉（Yamei Kao），80年代末期進入科技組，從兼職雇員開始，後來轉任正式雇員、秘書。幾年前她返台，轉了一圈沒多久又悄悄回到灣區，再任科技組秘書、「重操舊業」。從玉山成立前，她就跟著玉山共同創辦人莊以德一起組織規畫，一路走來近30年，幾乎整個職場生涯，都與玉山科技緊密綁在一塊；對她來說，玉山經驗，是「付出」，更是「收穫」。

Dr. San-Cheng (Simon) Chang is the former Deputy Premier and Premier of the Republic of China (Taiwan) government. He also held roles as Minister w/o Portfolio and then the Minister of Science & Technology. During his time in these roles, Chang invested significant effort in promoting the IT applications and established the foundation for the government to move on to the era of big data applications. Before joining the government, Chang was the regional Director of Hardware Operations of Asia for Google and the VP of E-Services for Acer Inc. He was also a professor of Civil Engineering at National Taiwan University and was the founding Director of Taiwan's National Center for High-performance computing. Among the many job titles now he holds after retiring from the Premier position, Chang is the Honorary Dean of Big Data Management at SooChow University, the Chairman of IBMI (Institute of the Biotechnology and Medicine Industry), and the Chairman of Taiwan Mobile Foundation.
Keynote 1 Abstract
[backcolor= transparent]To Embrace the New World with ABCD (AI, Blockchain, Cloud, and Data)[backcolor= transparent]San-Cheng (Simon) Chang[backcolor= transparent]Former Premier, Rep. of China (Taiwan)Director of hardware operations of Asia, Google[backcolor= transparent] [backcolor= transparent]In recent years big data attracted the attention of virtually all industry sectors. To store the data and process the big data applications, cloud computing became more widely adopted. The collection of abundant data sets constituted a more comprehensive learning base, and as a result helped AI to be revived and become more practical. In the meantime, block chain also caught the attention of many industries due to the emergence of digital currencies and other potential applications.[backcolor= transparent]All these advancements of ABCD have deep implications not only for the ICT industry but also for many other disciplines alike. We see ICT adoption becomes more proliferated, the eco-system of industries re-shaped, and boundaries between sectors blurring. To take advantages of these new opportunities, one needs to observe and understand what major international industry players are doing, and more importantly, the rationale behind. One needs to picture the competition posture and adequately position himself to leverage these developments. Depending on the scale of economy and market, it is important that one works out a set of strategies that encourage innovative applications and invest limited resources wisely.[backcolor= transparent]In the case of Taiwan, adequate strategies are particularly important considering where Taiwan's unique strengths and weaknesses lie. In addition, first mover advantage is also critical and speed of strategy execution counts. Taiwan missed its chance to become a major player of IT software and services, but ABCD allows Taiwan to catch up, if Taiwan moves smartly. Keynote 2 : Jonathan Becher Bio
Becher is co-president of Sharks Sports & Entertainment along with John Tortora. Becher is responsible for the organization's areas of sales, marketing and revenue, and oversees the organization's fan engagement strategies.
Prior to joining Sharks Sports & Entertainment, Becher spent a decade at SAP in the dual role of Chief Digital Officer and as the Head of the SAP Digital business unit. A three-time CEO, he is a frequent speaker at technology industry events and is a regularly published author. Becher is the Board Chair for the Churchill Club and is the sole independent Board Member of both Trintech and Pixlee. He is also an adviser to several early-stage companies.
Becher was named by Forbes Magazine as one of the world's most influential CMOs, most social CMO in The Huffington Post, and a top CxO on Twitter by Social Media Marketing. He holds a MS in computer science from Duke and BS in computer engineering from University of Virginia.
[backcolor= transparent]其為師也，富熱情，難忍教學一成不變。 翻滾至五更，幡然悟得「For the student! By the student! Of the student!」 [backcolor= transparent]Abstract: [backcolor= transparent]How to keep students engaged to the class? How can we make our students motivated to learn? These have been the most challenging questions for teachers/instructors nowadays as we have more and more digital natives in schools and in corporates. It is more and more difficult for teachers/instructors to keep the students' concentration in learning!
[backcolor= transparent]Over the years, Prof. Yeh has developed a series of Peer-to-Peer Gamification schemes for teaching following his unique teaching philosophy: "For the student! By the student! Of the student!". In 2013, Prof. Yeh's team created PaGamO, the first-ever educational platform in the world that combines E-Sport and Education. It has been widely used in Asia for K12 learning and corporate training. The success of PaGamO in motivating students to learn, shows that E-Sport + Education will become a whole new paradigm for future teaching and learning.
[backcolor= transparent]摘要：[backcolor= transparent]如何讓學生投入課程？如何讓學生有動機學習？這些都是現代老師最頭痛的問題。全世界有越來越多的數位原生世代，他們都是從小玩遊戲看動畫長大。如何能夠讓這些世代的學生/員工維持學習的專注力，難度越來越高！ [backcolor= transparent]過去數年，葉丙成教授發展了一系列多人互動的線上遊戲式教育平台，其背後理念是希望能引起學生學習的主動性。在 2013 年，葉教授團隊開發了 PaGamO，成為全球首創電競與教育結合的新教育平台。在亞洲各地，不管是學校教育或是企業訓練，都有許多人使用 PaGamO 做教學。PaGamO 成功地讓學生們產生學習動機，也樹立了未來教育與學習的新成功模式。
